Howdy my friends, I’m excited to invite you to my Autumn concert this September 19. It’s a Saturday and I know most of you bowl or Bingo on Saturdays, so of course it’s a risk. But I’m just gonna take the leap. 

 

I’ve come to think of these as One Man Shows, as if I’ve rented some cozy small theater where I settle comfortably onstage and enjoy singing to you and sharing stories and just whatever comes up in the moment. You can watch on whatever device you choose: Big Screen TV, phone, laptop, computer, toaster oven. Many tell me that when they put my songs together with fresh toast. . . well, it should be illegal, is what they tell me. I can’t take all the credit, I think it’s the butter.

 

As you can see in the photo, I love to create a really inviting space, colors and warmth and sound that feels welcoming to you. If all could go as I envision it, everyone who attends will breathe a little deeper and sleep a lot better after my concert. 

 

I’m aware that there is an overwhelming sense of concern over rising costs in our country now. Thousands have lost their jobs and many worry about staying afloat. After five years of my ticket prices set at $35 per household — I’m dropping to $25 this year. I hope that is helpful to you.

 

Some of you may know that I’ve recently begun the early work to begin recording a new studio album this year. By attending my concert, you’ll be helping me to achieve that. I’ll play a couple of the songs that will be on the new album and lots of songs that you’ve known from the mid-80s through my last studio album — and my all-time favorite, House of Sky. Let’s enjoy an evening where we all laugh and sigh and settle into melodies and songs that flow through and make us feel more whole again. That’s my vision, my friends. I hope you’ll join me.
