Howdy my friends, I have rekindled my practice of hosting afternoon versions of my Gathering of Friends events wherever I play concerts. There is just something hopeful and inspiring about bringing people together in good will and allowing a space for conversation and laughter, stories, songs and whatever comes up between us. I’ll open with a song or two to set the tone and welcome you. This is as casual and easy going as you could ever imagine. You’re never put on the spot and there is no pressure to speak — yet if you wish to, there is always that opportunity. Much of my focus right now is on helping people to understand and begin meditating. Coming into the present moment more often is the healthiest possible thing we can do to make our lives richer and more fulfilling. This afternoon, we’ll do one or two meditations - not too long. For those who sign up, I’ll email you a meditation too. My own life has been made so much better by this simple practice that I wish to share the benefits, peace and hope I feel with everyone I meet. I hope you'll join us for this lovely fall afternoon in Dana Point. The wonderful folks at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church have made available to me a classroom with access to outside if we wish to wander into the courtyard for part of the afternoon. And the next evening of course, I’ll be performing a concert at The CoachHouse in San Juan Capistrano. I hope you come to both.    ~Michael
